 Hollywood Habitat for Humanity

Presented by festival organizers Murs 3:16 and Guerilla Union in conjunction with Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, this event will bring together a collective of fans, artists, and staff to help build a home for a family in need.

The PAID DUES HABITAT PROJECT was founded in 2011 on the basis of Murs’ own passion for philanthropy. Being a part of this generous community, as well as the Hip Hop community as a rapper and promoter, his goal with the Project was to merge the two worlds together. Murs states: “Hip Hop is often generalized as an ignorant, or even violent, art form, so it’s up to us that are part of this culture to trump the stereotypes. The Paid Dues Habitat Project is an opportunity for artists and fans to unite and prove that we can have a positive impact on our community .

In addition to Murs, joining this year’s build team are 2013 festival performers Eligh, Hopsin, Ugly Duckling, and Stevie Crooks. They will be working alongside Guerilla Union staff and fan volunteers to help bring sustainable housing to deserving families.
