A Ticking Time Bomb: Na Palm

In route to becoming what a suburban father anticipates for his son, Craig Palm detoured. While attending college of coarse every kid from the suburbs finally gets away from the boring home life and lets loose partying their way through college to finally graduate, but few pic up a mic while doing it and discover they can rap. During college partying it up until it was time for class, not only did Craig do keg stands and have beer bong competitions but he found a talent only few white kids are able to perfect to appeal to the masses. He started rapping at college party’s becoming a major underground phenomenon. Craig proudly graduated taking a decent paying sales job, little did his co-workers know they were working with a modern day rap superman. After finally settling into his 9-5 shacking up with his brother in Chicago, he was able to get into the after hour club scene partying like it was college all over again. In the day Craig couldn’t wait to get off work walk into his phone booth go from ties and slacks to his Nirvana shirt and ripped jeans returning to the night as Na Palm the legendary MC who ripped the stage throughout the club circuit. Spitting mostly freestyles on a home setup over industry beats for his first mixtape “Hits from the Highway” in 2009 the fuse was lit. His brother realized he had something and started making connections.

When a producer by the name of Roo Almanaseer heard a hit “I’ll Take Everything” played on Chicago’s B96 radio, he quickly linked up with Na Palm and signed him to Tricoastal. Being from a city, which bred some of the fastest spitting MC’s such as Twista, Cap 1 Tha Don, and other white MC’s such as EC Illa, you can quickly pick up on Na Palm’s style. With a smooth rhythm to Na Palm’s flow and delivery it’s hard to put the voice to his face. With an image unlike your average rapper you would never guess that the crazy party animal in VIP would be the one about to get on stage and kill the mic. When Na Palm hits the stage all bets are off who ever thought he couldn’t spit is automatically drawn to all the women going crazy as Na Palm carry’s his crowd control with ease instantly raising all hands. Moving from one side of the stage to the other like he’s falling backwards Na Palm kicks the party in gear from a whole different stand point of your average hip-hop show.

With the times changing and the evolution of music taking a new cycle, he took rap in a direction few heads are willing to touch. Rapping over the new dubstep beats and electronic synths it’s hard to believe that someone who is into gangsta rap would think this shits cool; until you hear it. Just like Roo! Taking him out of Chicago Roo moved him straight to Lake Tahoe where he recorded “Dirty Girls Like Dirty Beats” in Roo’s SmashLab Studio. Which he toured the country performing next to the likes of Mike Posner and Sam Adams. Na Palm is already scheduled for his next mixtape Electronic Chronic set to drop mid June. Recording in a party capital like Lake Tahoe, touring the hottest clubs scenes in the country and being able to spit like the dopest MC’s from Chi-Town Na Palm is definitely stepping up to the big leagues in style. Here is some links to keep you posted and a new leak just released to get you prepared for the smoke friendly mixtape on its way.

TECH N9NE RELEASES NEW ALBUM ALL 6’S AND 7’S ON JUNE 7 AND LAUNCHES BIGGEST TOUR YET “ALL 6’S AND 7’S – THE TOUR”: RECORD-PACE TREK

Posted on 11 May 2011 by breez

May 10, 2011
(Los Angeles, CA) The numbers do not lie, but they will certainly make your eyes bug out. This summer, Strange Music’s founding artist, Tech N9ne, celebrates the release of his newest album, All 6’s And 7’s, on June 7 (aka 6/7).

With appearances by Snoop Dogg, B.o.B., E-40, Busta Rhymes, Twista, Yelawolf, Stokley (Mint Condition), Chino Moreno & Stephen Carpenter, Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, T-Pain and Lil Wayne (a collaboration hashed out during a visit Tech paid to Lil Wayne at Riker’s Island), All 6’s And 7’s features star power to commensurate with Tech N9ne’s own independent notoriety. The highly anticipated follow-up to Tech N9ne’s 2009 album K.O.D., All 6’s And 7’s shines with production from beat maestros Michael “Seven” Summers, Justice League, Will Power, Youngfyre, Em-80, and Wyshmaster. The track “Worldwide Choppers” (co-starring Yelawolf, Twista, Busta plus an explosive coterie of international MCs) has already gained attention for pushing hip-hop into new territories.

See it happen up close on “ALL 6’S AND 7’S – THE TOUR” as Tech N9ne heads out for an incredible total of 82 shows in 85 days. On May 10th, 2011 the opening leg breaks north, as the “Canuck The Industry” Tour bucks Canada with 15 shows in 15 days from Montreal, Quebec to Chilliwack, B. C. Then, on May 26, the domestic campaign kicks off in Seattle as “ALL 6’S AND 7’s – THE TOUR” blitzes the U.S.A. for 10 non-stop weeks.

Fully fueled with iron-hot hip-hop, “ALL 6’S AND 7’S – THE TOUR” will test the limits of man and machine. Many of Strange Music’s own custom fleet of vehicles will be called into service as Strange artists including Jay Rock, Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Big Scoob, along with new signees, Stevie Stone and ¡Mayday!, accompany Tech on the road. Surprise guests on certain tour dates have prime potential, as the roster of features on All 6’s And 7’s suggests. Underground hip-hop’s most iconoclastic star is ready to go supernova in the biggest way.

“World Domination, One Venue At A Time” has always been something of an unofficial Strange Music motto. Launched in 2000 from their own pockets as a 50/50 partnership between Tech N9ne and self-made entrepreneur Travis O’Guin, Strange Music has grown into the biggest independent label in hip-hop, with annual revenues exceeding $15 million. The Kansas City-based label has circumvented the traditional hip-hop power structure by taking their music to the people, averaging over 200 tour dates a year. In 2009, Tech performed on the main stage of the Rock The Bells festival, proving his worth alongside well-known names like Busta Rhymes, Nas and Mos Def.

With his signature face paint front and center, Tech N9ne will tear through 90-plus minutes of high-octane performance each night, laying claim to the title of the hardest working artist in hip-hop, but it’s not enough. As Tech attests: “We will not rest until the whole world knows our story.”

Warren G has recorded a digital single in memory of longtime friend, and 213 bandmate Nate Dogg

(Los Angeles, CA – April 29, 2011 /2SPR) – Warren G has released a tribute to Nate Dogg, the legendary hip-hop singer who passed away last month, aged 41. All proceeds from the single will benefit Nate Dogg’s family.

Long Beach rapper/producer Warren G recorded “This Is Dedicated To You”, as a heartfelt tribute to his lifelong friend and musical partner. The song, which features soul singer LaToiya Williams, finds Warren paying homage to Nate, reflecting on the late G-Funk pioneer’s legacy, envisioning how the world will be without his presence. “A true artist indeed, you made your own lane / All these albums we drop will never be the same / Without your voice on ‘em / I’m thinkin’ that’s the key / Choked up, smoked out, riding to these melodies,” he raps.

Nate Dogg, real name Nathaniel Hale, began his career as a rap trio in Long Beach called 213 (Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg and Warren G ) in the early 1990s. With one of the most distinct voices in hip-hop, he exploded onto the music scene as Warren G’s partner-in-crime on the hit “Regulate.”

The four-time Grammy nominee went on to feature on such hits as 50 Cent’s “21 Questions”, Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode,” Eminem’s “Shake That” and “Area Codes” by Ludacris. In addition to appearing on every great rap album from The Chronic to Doggystyle to All Eyez on Me to Get Rich or Die Tryin’, Nate released two solo albums of his own, which included Billboard hit singles such as “Never Leave Me Alone” w/ Snoop Dogg, “Nobody Does It Better” w/ Warren G and “I Got Love.”

Nate Dogg’s monotone crooning anchored some of rap’s most seminal songs and helped define the sound of West coast hip-hop.

“This Is Dedicated To You”, available now at all digital retailers. Proceeds go directly to Nate Dogg’s mother, and the Nate Dogg Foundation.
